I am a regular at Café Rhema. The food is delicious and the prices are reasonable. The service is “adequate.” I feel like they’re understaffed and it takes too long to order and to get your coffee. The space is very comfortable and has a great vibe.
Charming cafe with such creative food and drink! They know craft espresso and take the art of it seriously. The aesthetic is fun and inviting with an event venue in the back that is an amazing community resource. We love the live music that is frequent too.

You can tell they use high-quality beans and take pride in their craft. What really stood out was the fantastic service. The staff was friendly, attentive, and genuinely welcoming. They took the time to explain their menu and even remembered my order preferences by the end of my visit. The atmosphere was warm and inviting, making it a great spot to relax or work. Cafe Rhema has delicious food + tasty beverages. The building is accessible & the decor is tasteful, cozy, and vintage. It’s a wonderful place for a date, a quiet business meeting, a journaling sesh, or just a good cup of coffee. The staff are so friendly and the owner is kind. I really enjoyed conversing with the barista Kathleen, she was so friendly and even brought my food and smoothie out to me. Thanks for the great service! Highly recommend!
Very cool ambiance! My friend and i sat in a small nook and had a salad and sandwich, both of which were delicious! She enjoyed her cold brew and my cold Mexican hot chocolate was delightful though I would have enjoyed a bit more spice! For others, it has a limited menu. The dressing was gone when we went; I had a different vinagrette that was yummy. The back room where there are private parties and events was beautiful, speakeasy-esque. Highly recommend to check out the vibe from years ago!
Every time I’ve visited Cafe Rhema I’ve been more than impressed! The sandwiches are great, the coffee is spectacular and the waffles are out of this world! We visited recently with my mother and father in law and they both wouldn’t stop talking about how great everything was! My mother in law ordered a Brown Sugar Shaken Espresso, which she usually gets from Starbucks and absolutely loves, but once she tasted the drink from Cafe Rhema she said it was the best coffee drink she has ever had! We also ordered the Maple Bacon Waffle and it was unreal! The waffle was perfect, the bacon was salty with a touch of spice and the ice cream on top pulled everything together! This place is a true gem! If you are in Michigan, you need to stop at Cafe Rhema! The live music was great as well!
I love this Place the “Yolks On You” bagel is so good and the coffee is great. Nice place to eat and relax or get some work done on your laptop. Come here all the time.
Another gem among many in this area! This is definitely my favorite cafe around, I visit again and again with friends, and always recommend it to peers around me. The coffee has always been amazing, whether its from their regular or seasonal menu. The food is fantastic as well! Can be shared or eaten alone, depending on how hungry you are. I often see people with a laptop, notebook, sketchbook, or even reading material. It's a great place to relax, sip on a coffee, tea, or smoothie, have a quick meal, and lounge back while doing work or even just to gossip with friends!
I had heard about this cafe a few times and my son told me he was performing there so I said what better way to enjoy a cool cappuccino, support my son, some awesome company and visit a place I had been wanting to visit in my city. I was greeted with the aroma of coffee and tunes walking into the place. The inside was like walking into a relaxed lounge with a nice rustic modern look. The gentleman at the bar was friendly and patient with a slight smile and confidence when I said can I get a cool design on my cappuccino? "That's what we're trained for." I was already in at that point. They had some fresh baked goodies on display and I decided on the cinnamon roll. When he asked did I want it warmed up I was like this is service 😂 yes please. I watched people go in and out being greeted with kindness and smiles while others were gathering outside vibin as well. I got something simple but they have a full menu which I intend to go back and have some fun with the drinks and food. I believe the owner or manager was there as well attentively dealing with all those he came in contact with. That was a nice benefit to the cozy vibe, relaxing decor, and live music.
